  • No More Bollox

Having left Macbollox under a cloud of
controversy – and let's face it, that is pretty much service as
usual – at the end of February, the last couple of weeks have not
been spent solely scratching my butt. Of course, I left with another
job already lined up, and as I have a stake in the company and
project myself, I have been working on this for the last few days.

Working from home also means I can get
up when I want, work how I want, and not have some Hong Kongese –
Canadian asswipe criticise everything that happens. I have also made
sure that as there were some cancellations of orders after I left,
but of course Macbollox thinks that was because I made mistakes. You
want to believe that Macbollox? Go ahead...proves what I was saying
about the asswipe. Thankfully, my new company knows what I can do,
appreciates my aggressive nature in sales, and is all too eager to
encourage me to go out and sell. And as I have the opportunity to
make more money if I sell more, I am like a dog just let off the
    leash.

After I had left, El Pres asked me what
I was going to do, and I told him. He suggested that Macbollox might
be able to make the enclosures for our proucts, and I said maybe.
What he did not realise was that I had already had the order placed,
via my Korean friend, to him. Given the fact that I know they are in
some serious financial poop, and given the way they treat not just me
but pretty much all the staff who do not kiss the boss' ass, I
decided to immediately cancel the order. I see no reason why my
former employer should benefit from my new business.

So what i this new business?
Essentially I am teaming up with some Europeans to introduce a brand
new range of media players and digital signage devices. Your humble
scribe saw a gap in the market, and the Europeans agree, so together
we are using each other's area of expertise to design, build, and
market this new range of products. Essentially, this is my ideal job,
almost a dream come true. And as a percentage of the company belongs
to me, the motivation is ALWAYS there for me to perform.

So for the next week, until I head over
to Slovenia to sign the agreement and finalise everything, I am
looking for alternaive suppliers for the hardware. It's a
combination, if you like, of my purchasing days from Newegg and my
several years of sales experience. And I have already been given the
task of finding a supplier for products that are very new to the
market, and therefore difficult to find.

"Mr Hunt, your mission – should
you choose to accept it – is to find the USB DVB-H devices and
    bring them back to HQ."

    Mission: Impossible? No way mucker...I
    am a man of means!

So I am back in charge of my destiny,
back in charge of the opportunities open to me. My partners are
professional, and have also invested a lot of time and money in
getting this project off the ground. There is a level of commitment
from every side to make sure it works, and with all of our contacts,
we will be sure to succeed.
